Wow! I haven't blogged in a while!! When I logged in to write about my 2015 goals, I found this blog all ready to go! Clearly, I wrote it in the summer and Halloween has already happened! Haha! It just goes to show that I need to use my breaks in teaching to plan ahead with my life because once the school year starts, things get crazy busy around here!
Sophia was 3 months old and I was working on invitations to her first birthday. People were amazing how much I was "planning ahead" but the truth is that the invitation is just the first step for me. If I don't make the invitations in the summer, it won't get done. Plain and simple. All I need is a theme and I can plan out the invitation. Honestly, everything else is based off the invitation! Colors at the party, food tags, and even what food is at the party! ... And all this extra planning happens a month or two in advance :) I love hand-making invitations and have been doing it since David and I got married in 2010. Yes, I handmade each and every save the date, RSVP card, and wedding invitation that went out! I'm continuing the tradition with Sophia - I made her gender reveal invitations, baby shower invitations, first birthday invitations, and first halloween (1/2 birthday) invitations. So here are some invitations I have handmade for Sophia for the second year of her adventures ... Can you guess what her 2nd birthday theme will be?? (The teacher in me is SUPER excited!) xoxo, Sarah Comments are closed.
