I was lucky enough to photograph this gorgeous momma who I had worked with for five years! Our daughters are only a couple months apart so it was so fun to play during the session and it has been amazing watching her step up into the role of big sister :) I had so much fun during this session and I really wanted to capture those last few moments as Miss E as an only child. During the session, we came across a gorgeous bunch of yellow flowers (which I'm pretty confident were weeds ... but they were so pretty!). They turned out to be my favorite captures of the whole session.
Little E is such a good big sister now ... enjoy this little flashback Sawyer family!!!
Tomorrow, baby Valentina will be one! I was honored to have photographed both her newborn session and her cake smash session. It's incredible how much these little munchkins grow in just a year! I can't help but think of that video that has been going around about a child's first year. It brings me to tears every time I watch it. I think about how precious each and every moment is of life, especially your own child's. They learn and grow SO quickly it's unbelievable. I have, of course, added the video into the bottom of this post for those of you who haven't seen it. Get a kleenex now!
I just started offering these family/smash sessions and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. If you book a smash session with me, you get a family session too. That's just how I think it should be. Like I said, your baby grows up so quickly and, with technology these days, you probably have 8,291 pictures on your phone of *just* your baby but hardly any of the family (I'm guilty of this, too!) That's why I think it's so important to get some captures of your little family right before we celebrate with cake! So, each smash session starts with a little quality family time!
Enjoy some of my favorites from the session,
Miss V is learning to walk! She does pretty well when holding mommy and daddy's hands! Soon, she'll be off on her own...
I'm obsessed with this image. Her little scrunched up face is a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e <3
Now on to the celebration ...
Mom and dad made the lemonade stand and brought a couple of the decorations. Together with some gorgeous flowers, lemons, and an amazing cake ... it looked fab!
She was definitely more into the lemons than she was the cake! Haha :)
... and a small outfit change :)
Happy first birthday, mom!
I was really excited to get to photograph this precious little girl. I went to college with her momma, who went on to be a teacher ... and her daddy is a local firefighter (which of course we had to incorporate into the session!). I can't believe this sweet girl is going to be ONE in just a few weeks! Here are some favorites from her newborn session as I catch up on my blog <3
